Glossary of Terms

Within the context of the MSPCentric platform, the following terms are used to represent entities and value objects within the context of the platform.

Organization

Primary business entity representing a Partner/MSP/Organization using the MSPCentric platform. An Organization represents a Tenant Boundary and can not access any other Organization's data.

Integration

An entity which represents an Organizations configuration for an integration with a Vendor or PSA. Belongs to an Organization. Every integration, while owned by an Organization, must have a related Vendor.

Vendor

Represents a Vendor/Distributor. Used as a template for Integrations.

User

A MSPCentric user for an Organization. An Organization may have many users. The first user created for an Organization is always the Owner. All other users are Members. Currently there are no privileges within the MSPC Platform that distinguish these roles.

Belongs to an Organization.

PSA Account

A PSA Property representing customers of the Organization

PSA Service

A PSA Property representing a Product or Service managed by the Organization within their PSA.

Vendor Account

A Vendor Property representing customers of the Organization. Stored as Mappings.

Vendor Service

A Vendor Property representing a Product or Service managed by the Organization provisioned by the Vendor. Stored as Mappings.

Mapping

Mappings represent one Vendor property. A mapping, depending on the variant, can have one or more PSA property associations. All Mappings belong to an Integration.

OEM Token

The Organization authentication token provided by MSPCentric to the Integrator. Once generated, it can not be recovered. It is the sole responsibility of the Integrator to securely store/manage this key.

Integrator

The target audience of this documentation.

Product Groups

A list of product groups to associate an alert to so we can direct the alert to the correct, user defined, rule.

Alert Types

A list of alert types that would associate to a single product group. When creating a ticket, you give us a product group and an alert types, for example, Product group "Firewalls" with alert type "Firewall failure".

vendorOrganizationId

An internal id that you provide to have a reference to an Organization you are creating for a partner. You can also use this Id for Deleting and organization when necessary.
